When context produces the symptom: A biopsychosocial analysis of the relationship between environment, stress, and health

This workshop examines the role of biological and social context in the emergence and interpretation of psychological and somatic symptoms. Building on Rosenhan’s classic study On Being Sane in Insane Places, it explores how institutional environments shape diagnostic processes. Christian sexuality at its best: From shameless theology to skillful biology — Part I

Explores human sexuality through the complementary lenses of theology and biology as part of the „very good-ness” of prelapsarian life. Drawing on biblical theology and sexual biology, the workshop aims to recover a vision of sexuality that is faithful, liberating, and fully embodied — undergirded by hermeneutics, exegesis, and evidence-based medical research. Examines what God originally designed and how shame and flawed theology have left many Christians inhibited and ill-equipped.

In a world where AI provides instant answers, the teacher’s role transforms — from control to connection and guidance. This workshop focuses on responding to students’ new behaviors without pressure or shame, creating a space where students dare to make mistakes, think critically, and learn willingly. Continuation of Part I.
